About Us
We are a friendly, child-oriented church located on eastern Long Island. Our church has dedicated and active members of all ages.
Founded in 1766 and in our present location since 1966, we are a church rich in history. We offer activities that enable all people to grow in their Christian life and faith.

Our Membership
You are invited to come and worship with us and to experience more of our church's life and ministry. Membership is open to all people on the basis of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and a commitment to lead a life of discipleship.
Membership classes are held on a by-need basis during the year. Young people can become members by taking confirmation classes, held every two years.
You are, of course, invited to just come and visit on any Sunday!
Our Membership Committee plans many social events throughout the year as well. Please be sure to check the events on our home page, blog, and Facebook for a schedule of upcoming events in the life of our church.
Our Mission
Our vision is that the Middle Island Presbyterian Church be a place where all can seek, establish and nurture a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In this committed spirit, we continue to strive to make Him the center of our individual lives, His church body, and each of its ministries. Fully experiencing and compelled by God's love for us, we desire to be a church body that truly cares about one another. We envision a faithful caring church body that recognizes, develops and uses its gifts to serve one another, the community and the world.

Our Denomination
The Presbyterian Church (USA) is a national denomination of some 2.3 million members. We are a part of an association of 59 Presbyterian churches on Long Island known as the Presbytery of Long Island. As such, we work in partnership with these churches in a variety of mission projects on Long Island and around the world.
We are Christians who:
- Believe in God as Creator, Redeemer, and Comforter in our lives.
- Rely on Scripture for authoritative guidance in faith and living.
- Trust in God's loving rule over the world.
- Are governed by elected leaders called Elders (Presbyters).
- Recognize other denominations as partner branches in Christ's Church.
